Weather information and weather predictions are by their nature of indeterminate reliability. Persons engaging in activities that could give rise to injury, death, or loss of property or profits as a result of adverse weather conditions do so at their own risk. You should consult governmental weather reports, bulletins, and advisories in planning any high risk weather-related activities.
PERMITTED USE AND PROHIBITED CONDUCT New

At minimum, the disclaimer must convey the following:
“Weather information displayed here is provided for general informational purposes only. Forecasts and conditions are probabilistic and may not be accurate for your specific location or time. This data should not be used as the sole basis for decisions involving personal safety, aviation, marine navigation, emergency planning, or other safety-critical activities. Always consult official meteorological services and relevant authorities for decisions where accuracy is critical.”
You shall be solely responsible for any claims arising from your end users’ reliance on weather data provided through your applications. WeatherAPI.com has no liability whatsoever to your end users, and you must not represent otherwise.
PROPRIETARY RIGHTS
All intellectual property rights in and to the Services, the API, the underlying software, algorithms, data models, data pipelines, and weather data — and any enhancements, updates, or derivative works thereof — shall remain the sole and exclusive property of WeatherAPI.com / Zoomash Ltd. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions transfers any ownership interest in the foregoing to you. You will not remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, and other proprietary notices displayed in conjunction with such content. FEEDBACK New
If you provide WeatherAPI.com with any suggestions, ideas, enhancement requests, or other feedback relating to the Services, you grant WeatherAPI.com a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, incorporate, and commercialise such feedback without any obligation of compensation or attribution to you.
DATA CACHING New
You may cache API responses for performance optimisation subject to the following limits: current conditions data — maximum 60 minutes; forecast data — maximum 24 hours; historical data — no restriction. Caching beyond these limits or storing data beyond your subscription term constitutes a breach of these Terms and Conditions.

SEVERABILITY New
If any provision of these API Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Service Level Agreement
This Service Level Agreement (“SLA”) is a policy governing the use of API under the terms of the WeatherAPI.com Terms of Service (the “Terms of Service”) between WeatherAPI.com (“us” or “we”) and users of WeatherAPI.com High Volume (HV) API Services (“you”). This SLA applies separately to each account using WeatherAPI.com Services. Unless otherwise provided herein, this SLA is subject to the terms of the Terms of Service. WeatherAPI.com reserves the right to change the terms of this SLA in accordance with the Terms of Service.
WeatherAPI.com services for High Volume (HV) API customers are guaranteed to be available and responsive 99.9% of the time. If we don’t meet this guarantee you are eligible for a service credit.
WeatherAPI.com will use commercially reasonable efforts to make WeatherAPI.com instances available with a Monthly Uptime Percentage (defined below) of 99.9%, in each case during any monthly billing cycle (the “Service Commitment”). In the event WeatherAPI.com does not meet the Service Commitment, you will be eligible to receive a Service Credit as described below.
The following capitalized terms shall be given the meaning set forth below:
- “Monthly Uptime Percentage” is calculated by subtracting from 99.9% the percentage of continuous 5 minute periods during the month in which a WeatherAPI.com instance was in a state of “Unavailable.” Monthly Uptime Percentage measurements exclude downtime resulting directly or indirectly from any WeatherAPI.com SLA Exclusion (defined below).
- “Unavailable” and “Unavailability” means when a running WeatherAPI.com instance has no external connectivity and is unable to respond to valid authenticated requests.
- A “Service Credit” is a credit, calculated as set forth below, that we may credit back to an eligible account.
- “Scheduled Maintenance” means planned downtime notified to subscribers at least 48 hours in advance. Scheduled Maintenance does not count as Unavailability.
- “Emergency Maintenance” means unplanned maintenance required to address critical security vulnerabilities or systemic failures, notified as promptly as practicable.
Service Credits are calculated as a percentage of the total charges paid by you (excluding one-time payments such as upfront payments) for a WeatherAPI.com instance for the monthly billing cycle in which the Unavailability occurred in accordance with the schedule below.
| Monthly Uptime Percentage | Service Credit Percentage |
| 100% – 99.9% | 0% |
| 99.89% – 99% | 10% |
| Less than 99% | 25% |
Service Credits — Sole Remedy New
Service Credits are the sole and exclusive remedy available to you for any failure by WeatherAPI.com to meet the Service Commitment. Service Credits shall not be construed as an acknowledgement of fault and may not be exchanged for cash. The Client must request credits in writing within 30 days of the relevant month end.
3A. Support Response Times (Enterprise) New
The following support response time commitments apply to Enterprise plan subscribers:
| Priority | Description | Initial Response | Resolution Target |
| P1 — Critical | API fully unavailable; total outage | 2 business hours | 4 hours best efforts |
| P2 — High | Major feature unavailable; significant degradation | 8 business hours | 1 business day |
| P3 — Normal | Minor issue; workaround available | 1 business day | 5 business days |
| P4 — Low | General query; feature request | 2 business days | Best efforts |
Support hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:30 GMT. P1 critical incidents are monitored outside these hours. Support channels: enterprise@weatherapi.com (primary); dedicated Slack channel (Enterprise subscribers); status page at weatherapi.com/status.
To receive a Service Credit, you must submit a claim by sending an email via Support Center with the subject line “SLA Credit Request”. To be eligible, the credit request must be received by us by the end of the second billing cycle after which the incident occurred and must include:
- i. the words “SLA Credit Request” in the subject line;
- ii. the dates and times of each Unavailability incident that you are claiming;
- iii. the affected WeatherAPI.com instance urls; and
- iv. your request logs that document the errors and corroborate your claimed outage (any confidential or sensitive information in these logs should be removed or replaced with asterisks).
If the Monthly Uptime Percentage of such request is confirmed by us and is less than the Service Commitment, then we will issue the Service Credit to you within one billing cycle following the month in which your request is confirmed by us. Your failure to provide the request and other information as required above will disqualify you from receiving a Service Credit.
The Service Commitment does not apply to any unavailability, suspension or termination of WeatherAPI.com Services, or any other WeatherAPI.com Services performance issues: (i) caused by factors outside of our reasonable control, including, without limitation, any force majeure event or Internet access or related problems beyond the demarcation point of WeatherAPI.com Services or its direct hosting subcontractors; (ii) that result from any actions or inactions of you or any third party (other than WeatherAPI.com’s direct hosting subcontractor); (iii) that result from your equipment, software or other technology and/or third party equipment, software or other technology (other than third party equipment within our direct control); (iv) that result from any Scheduled Maintenance or Emergency Maintenance; (v) arising from our suspension and termination of your right to use WeatherAPI.com Services in connection with any breach by you of the Terms of Service; or (vi) upstream data source outages from third-party meteorological data providers outside WeatherAPI.com’s control (collectively, the “WeatherAPI.com SLA Exclusions”). If availability is impacted by factors other than those used in our Monthly Uptime Percentage calculation, then we may issue a Service Credit considering such factors at our discretion. WeatherAPI.com’s determination of Monthly Uptime Percentage shall be made in good faith using its own monitoring systems and shall be final, absent manifest error.
WeatherAPI.com commits to the following data update frequencies under normal operating conditions:
| Data Type | Update Frequency | Notes |
| Current Conditions | Every 15 minutes | Station-dependent; best-efforts basis |
| Hourly Forecast | Every 3 hours | Based on GFS / ECMWF model runs |
| Daily Forecast (14-day) | Every 6 hours | |
| Historical Data | Static / immutable | From 1 January 2010 |
| Air Quality | Hourly (region-dependent) | |
| Marine / Tide | Hourly | Harmonic predictions; continuous |
Data freshness commitments are best-efforts and do not form part of the uptime SLA. Degradation in data freshness during force majeure or upstream data source outages shall not entitle you to a Service Credit.
This SLA and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
